Veronica’s practice is rooted in Taoist and classical Chinese medicine philosophy, which views humans as microcosms of Earth that embody the healing potential of nature. If you’re allergic to shell fish you might have a reaction to pearl, although our pearl is freshwater. There are also mushrooms in the Beauty Sleep formula.

Bitter mushrooms are a sign of potency. The more bitter the better. In particular reishi mushroom is especially bitter. The bitterness comes from the beneficial triterpene compounds, which can only be extracted from the fruiting body of the mushroom. If a reishi product is not bitter, it indicates that it doesn’t contain any detectable amounts of the triterpene compounds, which hold the health benefits, and the product is not made from an effective extraction process.
